After meeting BBQ Guru Ted Reader we decided to eat our way around Chicago. To chomp through the best vittles offered in the windy city and whet our whistles from time to time!
The seasonal tasting menu at Ria Restaurant was exquisite. But on this evening about town we decided that dinner #1 would start with new urban ”q” in the heart of Chtcago’s Gold Coast…
Devouring heaping portions of succulent smoked meats with BBQ guru Ted Reader, it doesn’t get much better than that!

We ordered a sampling of tasty treats to fill our table. The BBq Flight with Kobe brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, & trio of house sauces didn’t last long…
But then again, neither did the Smoked Dry-Rubbed Wings, nor the House Bacon Cheddar Hush Puppies which were meant for dippin’ in a nice spicy mayo sauce…

Ted and I agreed that the cornbread was downright righteous!

Acclaimed Chef & Partner Lee Ann Whippen believes BBq is a passion, not just a past time.
As we sauntered out and worked our way to dinner #2 of the evening, I smiled and belched to the BBq gods. It was my way of thanking them for the chance to experience artisinal urban “q” with the King of Q.
