There were felt pork wings fluttering deep in my belly when I read the email from Andre at Baconfest Chicago simply stating “Congratulations!!! We’ll be in touch soon”.

A blog article announcing the 5 finalists was just posted, and I did a little bacon dance as I read it.

The amateur competition is sponsored by Nueske’s, a Wisconsin based company that proudly offers an incredible selection of bacon and other applewood smoked meats.
