Jarlsberg Dip + Hamburger = a Juicy Jarlsburger
This month Jarlsberg USA has teamed up with 29 talented food bloggers at Kitchen PLAY to give you “29 Ways to Leap Into Jarlsberg Dip.” Each day in February Kitchen PLAY will post a new link to one of these fabulous serving suggestions.
When I was asked to blog about a creative serving suggestion for Jarlsberg Dip, my mind went wild with the possibilities. This creamy dip is very very versatile. Then it hit me like a rolling wheel of cheese, I had to make a Jarlsburger.

Normally I would top a burger with slices of Jarlsberg cheese, then slather the bun with creamy mayo and serve the cheeseburger with sliced onion – which are the main ingredients in Jarlsberg Dip. So it made perfect sense to mix this creamy dip into fresh hamburger to create a Juicy Jarlsburger
And when I say juicy, I mean JUICY!

To make these Juicy Jarslbergers I mixed one cup of Jarlsberg Dip with 1 pound of lean ground beef, some steak seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Then I formed three thick patties and cooked them over medium heat in a heavy skillet for a few minutes on each side. It’s that easy to create a Jarsburger.
These can also be served with extra Jarlsnurg Dip to spread on the burger, if you’re feeling extra cheesy…

Hi Brad,
What a fabulous idea! Of course it makes sense to put the dip IN the burgers! As luck would have it, we have burgers on our menu tonight, and I’m cooking. Which means…I’m totally using your idea. Thanks for the inspiration!
Best,
Casey
