I have many happy childhood memories of savoring seafood at Red Lobster. The first time I ever cracked open a lobster was at Red Lobster, and I can’t even begin to guess about how many mountains of snow crab that I’ve dipped in liquified butter over the years at this seafood restaurant.

When I received a gift card to check out one of their recently redesigned restaurants, I welcomed the opportunity to discover this redesign. It had been awhile since I had been in a Red Lobster restaurant. What could be better on a cool crisp January afternoon? After all, I knew that this would also include a tasty seafood feast!

Cleveland area Red Lobster restaurants have recently been redesigned. The remodel design was inspired by the New England coast to give guests the feeling of dining by the seaside. The Cleveland-area restaurants that received a remodel were: Elyria, Mansfield, Strongsville, Parma, Canton, New Philadelphia, Beachwood, Ashtabula and Sandusky.

New exterior features include a stone tower similar to architecture used throughout New England. A large lobster was prominently centered over the entrance of the Mansfield Ohio location. Immediately upon seeing this I thought to myself “Oh boy! There’s some succulent seafood in there!”

Booths featured in the new interior were comfy and there was plenty of room for seating large parties. This Red Lobster dining room was a very relaxing place to sit awhile for a leisurely meal.
I swear I could almost hear the high pitched squeal of sea gulls somewhere off in the distance. Or maybe it was just the hiss of a wood fire under the hot grills in the kitchen.

Soft lighting created an inviting atmosphere in the dining room. The walls were tastefully decorated with seaside images including rocky beach side cottages, colorful nautical flags and nostalgic lighthouse painings.

I was also happy to see the many choices on the Red Lobster menu that included affordable great tasting seafood and non-seafood dishes. ‘Today’s Fresh Fish Menu’ included a nice selection of fresh fish offered daily, and the ‘Quick Catches’ were priced just right for a hasty lunch.

With all of the restaurant choices out there, it’s refreshing to know that Certified Grill Masters at Red Lobster really do prepare their seafood, steak and chicken over the open flame of Wood-Fire Grills. Because Wood Fired Grilling = Fantastic Flavor!

Now I understand why Red Lobster has debuted TV advertisements that feature real employees talking about what’s different at Red Lobster and why they “Sea Food Differently.”
