Confessions of a Baconaholic: Is Chuck Hughes a Baconaholic on His Day Off?

Published by Brad on October 16th, 2010 - in Famous Foodies

I was able to meet Chuck Hughes at the Food Network NYC Wine and Food Festival Grand Tasting on Saturday morning.

His hit Cooking Channel TV series Chuck’s Day Off is all about food that is simple, fresh and well made.  I really dig the way he makes everything in his restaurant kitchen from scratch.

After wading through dense crowds to the rear of Pier 54, I found Chuck.  He greeted me with a big smile and a handshake, then Sharyn took our picture…

To quote Chevy Chase, my creedo is “go for it”, so I asked Chuck if he wanted to take a cheesy tattoo picture with me.

Of course he easily obliged…

What good are culinary tattoos if you can’t show them off at such an incredible foodie event?

Chuck also has the word “Bacon” tattooed accross his wrist.  He admitted that he wants to to get a big strip of bacon permanently engraved on his arm.

That proves it, he’s gotta be a baconaholic!

See what he’s up to on Facebook and you can also check out ChucksDayOff on Twitter.

Thanks Chuck for the cool pictures, it was nice talking with you and I hope to chat with you again soon.

Thank you for reading my blog.  Stay tuned, more about the great time we had The Food Network NYCWFF is coming soon.
