Carve the Beast with Guy Fieri Knuckle Sandwich Knives

Familiar lyrics from Hotel Cailfornia play softly in the background, as I prepare a whole beef tenderloin…

Stabbed it with my steely knife...

Good thing I have Guy Fieri Knuckle Sandwich Knives to trim and carve the beast!

The heart of the tenderloin is what I’m really after, it is best for extra thick filet mignon…

The ultra sharp 5.5″ serrated blade on my Dragon Dagger easily cuts through tough outer layers of fat…

…and removes the thin silverskin without cutting the soft beef beneath…

…as I whittle a perfectly trimmed heart of beef tenderloin…

The long honed blade on the 8 Chef Knife is best for carving.

Good thing the Dragon Dagger has a pronged tip to steady the beef as I carve…

…extra thick filet mignon…

It was cool meeting Guy Fieri at the 2010 International Home Housewares Show

About a week later I received a package…

They quickly became my “go to” knives in the kitchen.

The Dragon Dagger was essential while preparing jumbo chicken wings for Baconfest Chicago

The 8″ Chef Knife came in handy while crushing cookies with the “knurl” for shortbread meatballs in a creamy sauce

The Knuckle Sandwich Series Knives are great for cooking on the go, since they come with a protective edge guard for safe travelling.

They have the same quality construction as higher priced knives, including precision heat treated blades made of high carbon stainless steel and a full tang.

The designer handles are comfortable to hold due to thier ergonomic shape, and look cool in my kitchen!

Now what to do with the extra thick filet mignon, the possibilities are endless.

How do you think I should cook these perfectly trimmed steaks?

  4. Those filets look incredible! I’m coming over when you cook those bad boys! Whatever you decide to make with them. The purist in me says to salt and pepper them then cook on the stovetop in a cast iron skillet.

The knives look wonderful but I must admit, Guy is my least favorite Food Network host. (Probably is an age thing.)

What great knives! I need to get them for my Dad! He’s the filet mignon carver in the family!
