Willie’s Hog Dust Giveaway, Win Something Tasty!

Published by Brad on March 31st, 2010 - in Foodie Giveaway Contests

I was lucky to get a bottle of Willie’s Hog Dust as a Christmas gift from Sharyn’s sister.

Since then I’ve become a “Hog Dust addict” and I sprinkle it on pork, beef, chicken, vegetables and seafood when I want to add great flavor without a lot of fuss.

Willie's Hog Dust both sizes

I was immediately drawn to the subtle smoky flavor of this natural spice blend, and understand why they boast that “Everything’s Better Dusted!”

The Original Blend has just the right amount of heat to wake up the taste buds, but it is not too hot.  With a hint of garlic and a touch of sweetness, I keep going back for more.

My Ribs So Good Make You Wanna Slap Your Belly recipe was a hit because I used Willie’s Hog Dust

I also enjoy it in my Mom’s Potato Salad recipe, to add great flavor to her classic side dish.  There are also many recipes at the Willie’s Rubbins website

Willie’s Hog Dust can be found at select retailers or it can be purchased directly from their website.

Now for the Giveaway, three lucky winners will each  recieve two 4 oz bottles of the Willie’s Hog Dust Original Blend!

Entries will be accepted until Monday April 5, 2010 at 11:00 pm CST.

The Willie’s Hog Dust Giveaway is restricted to residents of the United States due to shipping restrictions.  The winner will be selected using Random.org, then announced on April 6, 2010 and contacted via email to provide a valid mailing address.

Thanks to the kind folks at Willie’s Rubbins for sponsoring this great giveaway, nothing like three chance to win something tasty!

Congrats to the three winners of the Willie’s Hog Dust Giveaway:

  1. Brad: Your Ribs so good makes me wanna slap my belly recipe title is too cute! I can totally picture an image of many people (myself included) doing this as they devour the ribs. Thanks for the does of humor!

Gotta go for the ribs! It’s barbecue time now that Spring is here!

  3. Carolyn Ivey says:

Most definitely the shrimp….anyway they can be cooked: boiled, grilled, sauteed, fried, scalloped, over grits…shrimps, shrimps and more shrimps.

  4. Jackie Winch says:

Aside from the pulled pork – which I adore paired with a good slaw – I gotta try the pickles! I’ve had deep fried pickles and they are just amazing. These sound even better!

Since one of my sons’ name is “WILLIE”, I just gotta win (but he loves his babybacks)…

OOps, I forgot to mention, I’m already a subscriber to Eatnlisten!

  6. Cheryl W says:

Okay, so I can’t just pick one. I would make it a Hog Dust shindig. I would stoke up the grill and try some of the pickles first, Dust corn on the cob and grilled shrimp/scallops. Don’t tell me the neighbors wouldn’t be inviting themselves over for that.

    +5, thanks!

  8. Reeni says:

I would like to try the deep fried shrimp!

  9. Reeni says:

    I tweeted it for you!

  10. I would love to try this blend with grilled fish!

  11. Chris says:

While I’m a huge fan of pulled pork and ribs, the one that caught my eye was the dusted corn. I think that’s just because it’s getting close to summer and I’m ready to cook some corn in my Big Green Egg!
